You can get power by building power plants, to do that you need to upgrade your construction yard, to upgrade the construction yard, you need tiberium, you can get power and tiberium by attacking camps and other forgotten installations that have supply crates

Like I said, if you attack a supply crate and get lucky...you might get power, other than that there is no easy way around it

Click "Add Play4Free Funds" then on the bottom right of the new window hit "Earn Funds for free" or something like that. Keep an eye out for surveys. Apulo got 27k from them in his first week, allowing the purchasing of many things.
I went the approach of having no Refineries, Artillery or Barracks and just loading up on Power (plus tanks and planes for the army)

I have about 10 power plants and 2 acumaltors in my main base, have about half that in your second base, once you've finished spending on your first base and run out of power, transfer resources to your second base to buy stuff instead.
