My first was a Space Marine Landspeeder from the 3rd Edition Starter. Painted Space Wolves, and very badly

Oh god how badly I did this when I first brought it 
, I swear I made the model twice as thick with paints .
Advice: DO NOT use more paint on the brush than is neccessary, if you still see the previous layer then leave it dry before splodging on more.
Oh and THIN YOUR PAINTS!!! And spread it out evenly.
Have fun making an abomination like the rest of us have.

They're starter edition models. They were born to be painted into a hedious rainbow coloured monster.

My brother gave me my first army of chaos marines I didn't know there were specific color pattern and painted them all gold
