I got my yearbook today. It's designed and made by students in Yearbook class, just like our newspaper is designed and written by students in Journalism class. I'm in Journalism.

I was flipping to my class when I noticed something wrong with my picture. I had it done twice because the first time, I looked awful due to being really sick, so I had it redone in which I looked nicer.

Guess what picture they put in?

That's right! They completely cut me out! They skipped me. Not even a "Nicole ________" with a no picture available.

This is the seventh year in a row that this has happened to me...

How the hell do they keep forgetting me? You'd think by now they'd be in size 78 font "Don't fucking forget Nicole this year" or something when they get that list of students.

Even worse, I have two really good friends in Yearbook. One of them designed the page. The Yearbook teacher is the same for Journalism, who approved that all the students were there.

I hate yearbooks.

Oh, and I ended up asking the teacher if she could reprint me a copy with me in it. She was so embarrassed that she immediately agreed. Damn right you should be. I'm in ONE OF YOUR CLASSES.

I don't see the big deal with them to be honest. I still have all mine from high school and only look at them if I am cleaning out the closet they are stored in and knock over the box by accident. The people you liked you still talk to and the others will be mostly forgotten anyway. I hate looking at names and faces and going "yep I recognize you but don't remember anything about you". Worse when you meet one of them years later and they remember you but you have no idea who they are lol.

The big deal isn't really that I was cut out, but that I'm so easy to forget that they've constantly cut me out simply because they don't remember I'm there. I'm always forgotten with anything. If my teacher or friends make a list, I'm always the one they forget.

I also got my new yearbook. They put me under freshman. I'm a junior. I give up on yearbooks.

Yeah, I'm in one of those groups like that are easily forgotten about. At my school we typically call ourselves Shadows, of course the preps like calling us freaks, cool with us... It's not that were not liked its just we have those types of personalities and clothing that just make people forget about us. Its actually beautiful, because you can infiltrate almost any group so easily. This is coming from someone who likes the dark though and hates the sun. I'm not Emo or Goth, but I guess you could say I have some of their traits.

Hahaha This is the best! When they walk up to you and say "Hey Cory, dang good to see you," and I say "Hey ....Dude how have you been?" Ahhh good times!

I'm very, very quiet. As in, people outside of my small group of friends are amazed when I talk/that I can talk. Many also fear me, and they kind of panic when they realize that I'm actually probably the nicest and most loving person in the school. People fear me because of my silence, the fact that I wear a lot of dark colors (not just black, a lot of dark reds, greens, blue and all that stuff), I talk/mutter to myself all the time in the third person, my interests in weapons and violent video games. It's kind of nice, because people leave me alone, but yet I don't really like scaring people away unless I wanted to. My best friend tells me that I'm kind of like a female Cicero from Skyrim, which works out cause I completely love that guy. He's my favorite.

I like scaring away a lot of people who bother me, but when I scare them away, I end up scaring away guys that I would actual consider dating...

Although apparently I have this thing where I attract guys I don't fucking want, and my friends get pissed because they're apparently superattractive guys with abs that play sports, are in a band or something. I don't see the big hoopla about it.

It's because of opposites and the idiocy of human beings. Those guys are attracted (partly) to the fact that you aren't attracted to them, and less interested in your friends because your friends ARE attracted to them.

Try opposite behavior and you might find you get opposite results.

Granted this is not fool proof as it is high-school and there is a physical factor that I obviously can't account for, and no that's not asking for you to clarify that aspect. Just stating I can't cover all the variables.

Yeah, but it's mainly because they don't interest me. I don't care much about sports (I occasionally watch and play them but it's not a real big hobby), most of the guys in band honestly really suck, and the guys who aren't either one of those are either reallllyyy stupid or disrespectful. I hold semi-high standards.

On the topic of being a shadow: I must be really sh*t at it, people at school wont leave me the f*ck alone! Its not that Im seen as a target, people are genuinely interested in me, it sucks! I try so hard not to be noticed, in fact 2 out of 5 days at school I dont physicaly speak. At all. And yet people still pester me, I ALWAYS just sit there silent and ignore EVERYONE around me.

I hate a lot of people in my school, in fact theres a few Id murder if provoked enough or just given the chance. There are some people I like, but not enough to socialise with them.

Although the reason people are probably interested in me is that I wear ALL black clothes everyday for the past 4 years, I have a huge mohawk and I a wear a trench coat sometimes. (I went through emo stage 4 years ago, unfortunatly the look always stayed the same)

I wish people who are given the silence treatment would just get the hint to leave me the f*ck alone. Im at school to learn, not hang out with people whos probably got a dozen Asbo's.

That's exactly what I was talking about. People and the opposite effect. You seclude yourself people get interested. It's why being 'cool' usually has to do with being aloof or mysterious.

lol, yeah, people sometimes try inviting me to their Redneck parties, and I'm like "Do I look like I fucking Redneck to you?" I'm not into cars, not into sports and I don't date much. Its for that exact reason some people think that I'm *CENSORED*. I am not *CENSORED*. I'm pretty sure I'm not.

meh im not what you would call a social person since ive only got like one friend (i have more but im miiiiles away from them) but if im in a room of people, im the one making jokes and bringing up topics. Ill always accept to go to a party lol BOOZE The random chance that I can whoop the shit of some drunk who flirts with my girlfriend is always a plus too
