So been playing quiet a lot of the topic mentioned games.

 

Me and a few people were looking for others to join us in these games.

Smite is pretty much a lot better version of League of Legends. Quite a few game modes and based around Gods of Myth.

War Thunder is like World of Tanks, only more in depth and much better. This includes air and ground battles, as well as Naval as soon as they implement it.

 

40k Soulstorm has an awesome mod called Apocolypse. They did a plethora of model changes, added a ton of new units, increased cap size, and overall streamlined the game. We play this game a lot recently and, I have to say, it's so enjoyable calling down a titan and walking units upon units of marines straight to the front line with a massive wave of Tyranid...which we always lose to as they are no damn joke.

 

Anyway, if anyone is still around and enjoys any of the above games, give me a shout.

We know about Apocalypse mod. I used to maintain a 1-click installer for it, installed Apocalypse, Nids, Maps, Textures. Couple years back there used to be pretty epic Apocalypse gaming sessions every week. 

 

Smite isn't a better version of League of Legends. LoL and DOTA2 are MOBAs. Smite is an AMOBA (Action MOBA), which means it plays completely differently - more like God of War than Warcraft 3. That said I have heard good things but as it's an action game I won't touch it on PC. You could try Tug tho, he seems to play every MOBA

 

Will agree with you on War Thunder though, from what I hear it's a very deep game but I'm so far into WoT I cannot be arsed starting over. I already have World of Warships (Alpha) for my naval itch

 

You should consider playing LoL (NA or Nordic, two distinct large groups from our members), Civilisation V (with the main DLCs). World of Tanks for PC kinda died off when they launched it for Xbox, it split the community so those of us on PC kinda got left in the dust - still play it though. There's no main MMO played right now to my knowledge, we handed in the towel on AA last weekend and we're all just tinkering. I'm on EVE, ToR and FFXIV (though the latter only with Naia).

out of those games you mentioned i only like soulstorm/apocalypse me and dx used to get together a few times and smash our forces against npc (who nuked us to an inch of our lifes)

You did nuke them back that one time... But yeah from that day on Nukes were disabled. =D

 

I'd be more than happy to play some Soulstorm from time to time. =)

We used to play last stand scenarios. 2 or 3 humans vs 3-4 hard Nid AI's. Was a lot of fun back in the day

Yeah it'd be cool to do it again sometime. I'm sure Naia would enjoy it too so I'll buy her a copy of the game on Steam and update Project Dumbass sometime. Trying to get her to install the mods individually is not something I'm willing to endure

Hey hey, Moba, AMoba. Close enough. In my opinion (Minus Jynx) Smite is a lot more consuming for me. And the fact you can slap Hades around with Artemis is pretty ground breaking.

 

But yeah, if you guys are ever up for a DoW-A game session we should set it up and get to trying to stomp some Nids. Usually not something Rom and I can accomplish yet, buuuut we're working on it. Then again the first time I got my Chapter Master Upgrade he kind of "Win Button"ed with the Necrons and killed him as he was making his maiden voyage to the front lines to do battle with our Ork opponents. -.-; The douche.

You need a guard player pumping out turrets and basilisks to keep the nids back until an ally can tech up and pickup the slack

Well what time would this be? I might still suffer from this weird lag issue I've been having as well...

 

Still I'd be happy to give it a go, I'm probably going to play Guardsmen anyway so I don't mind being the turret and Basilisk building bastard. I'll eventually get Earthshake cannons as well. Will take long since you need to be in Full Scale War (Tier III) also I'll be rushing towards getting the Lieutenant's Tank since its pretty powerful and you can get it with just a level 6 hero and it can be upgraded with a variety of cannons, I'll be going with Twin Linked Autocannons as they annihilate infantry, heavy infantry, vehicles and buildings...

 

So yeah what difficulty, anything restricted and what map?
