Lag was bad because someone's net was terrible and our main hosted wasn't able to host so we were on backup (nz).

Metal the two main DLC expansions change how the game plays drastically. Some people's preferred playstyle focuses on religion which needs a dlc

I realize that Cru, but if we get to actually play a big game night with a full lobby, then I will consider trying to buy the DLC. 

 

Just to ask, seeing as there is about 4/5 of us, knowing Saturday would be preferable, what time would you guys like to start it at? Or when would be the best time. That we can work out a time, seeing as these games tend to go on. A long time.

I don't have dlc either and I probably won't get them for a while be cause I dropped a shit ton of money on Logan grimnar on stormrider and the new space wolves codex.

Well Including two of my friends who want join in, we have about 8 people, seven if you aren't playing Cru, possibly more. So it should be a fun day/night.

Go ahead and run one then. Piece of advice turn off battles, set 5 min turn timer and setup for simultaneous turns or it'll be hell

Start time around 4pm GMT either earlier or later.

 

If you think we could do it earlier, then say, same with if we are doing it later. 

 

That will be a dedicated game night for Civ. If anyone wants to play casualy in the mean time, add me on steam and say when.

For future reference: We run our GWRS Civ nights at 10pm GMT (Sat) so UK, US and NZ can all play.

To be perfectly honest Cru, you probably should of started with that. It would of made choosing the date and time much easier.
