Guys I'm trying to come up with a Grey/Blue mix for my Space Wolves that will look better than the GW traditional colors. Here are a few of the pictures, let me know what you think and please vote.

I like the last one. I have always liked the liked the wolves of Fenris in a more of an ice blue. I look forward to seeing the end result. so far so good with the painting.

i think the basic colour looks good, in parhaps a bit muted... maybe some more colour on the shoulder pads and using gold and silver on some of the details over the whole mini will give it some shine

I'm doing the details in a stone color, I'm not much for gold on any of my models. The model only has a quick armor shadow basecoat with a second layer primary color. I'm planning some layering highlights instead of hard edge highlights. I just want to give my Space Wolves something different from the normal Space Wolf army.

I like it, but I dont think its as blue tinted as its meant to be, so I have to prefer the original. Of course dont let the oppinions of others influence your personal decision on what you want your Wolves to look like.

I dig it personally..I think the wolves look decidedly better in more of a grey than blue...fits their feral nature better (though I have representatives of both color patterns in my Space Wolves army)

It's better, shadow grey isn't perfect, but Space Wolf Grey is terribly light.

I voted worse because I like the more blue Space Wolves myself. That said this looks fine and calling it "worse" makes me feel like I'm being a jerk. I think I'd have a better opinion if you have a squad shot from farther away with better lighting.

I just got my new Space Wolves codex the other day..it was soo nice to finally know how many points worth my army is

Really love the codex too...a wealth of info, as well as lots of good reference pics

I've found that one method of painting that gives a color result I personally really like is a sky blue undercoat (i think that's the color testors paint i used), then giving it a wash of dark grey. That gave a nice middle ground between that terrible baby blue that is standard and the grey that some of us prefer. My two cents *shrug*

It looks good, but I love the yellow in the original armour is there any way to bring that in?
