Due for an October release, some of the changes that have been mentioned are particularly interesting, especially in terms of City building and resource management, as now factories, wonders, and other city based buildings will be built on tiles around the city, meaning you choose what gets defended, or what resources to attack. It certainly seems interesting.

It's been my experience Civ games are abominable for the first few months after release, then after a few patches the bugs are ironed out and they are a lot of fun. Will probably get it for Xmas
