Well I want to start a new fire cadre that follow the teachings of the kuayon (patient hunter) So it will consist of a lot of kroot and battle suits of varying type but since I don't have the new dex yet I don't know how viable this really is as an army so could someone help please.

Well to say they still go by groups of 3 for battle suits. The Riptide is an awesome unit that will destroy anything in its path but I recommend taking two of them. Kroot are good at monstrous creature hunting so taking an all kroot troop choice is a bad idea unless you are going more for fluff theme idea. Broadsides are good for taking out flyers when need, so they are a must in the army.
Cast down the idols! Destroy the temples! Slay the priests! Show these fools that they worship nothing more than a rotting corpse!
