[Paladin Xenos]

so i've had all of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R games for a while and I would have to say they are my favorite game series. these games are fairly unknown, but better than most.

Background
The story is pretty simple, there is a place call the "zone" where after a second explosion of the Chernobyl power plant, the area around it became infested with radiation....but from the radiation bred hideous monsters that can control minds, bend shapes of reality, etc. I will not get into detail with specifics because if you choose to play these games, it is a very unique story line.

Gameplay
the closest i can compare to is fallout, even though S.T.A.L.K.E.R is more true to the survival aspect of the game, its somewhat similar. Open world 1st person shooter(but you can get mods to make it 3rd person). Also, there are faction warfare that you can influence throughout the storyline.

Stalker:shadow of Chernobyl
this being the first of its kind, its centered around the storyline, not much of faction warfare but its good to start off with.

Stalker: Clear sky
This one is my favorite, it is centered around the factions of stalkers and you can join, and eventually lead the factions you chose to be apart of.

Stalker:call of pripyat
the last of the series(so far) and by far the most detailed. it mixes the first and second, with not focusing too much on story or faction warfare and finishes the mysteries of the zone and how it was created.

if you plan on picking these games up, i recommend getting the stalker complete mods. they add better weapon skins, better models, better sounds, etc. and the textures are very well done. Have Fun Guys!

i've found the misery mod makes it fun to play because of the gas mask effect when you wear one

i haven't tried that mod, i'm going through all of them again with the complete mods and it's awesome! but when i get done i'll try that.
