Hello all,

I've been thinking about putting together a squad of Ten Marines from each armor set (Mark 1 through 8) and I'm having trouble finding out which pattern bolter the Thunder Warriors would have been equiped with. The oldest one according to wh40k.lexicanum.com is the Phobos Pattern Bolter which was mass-produced on Mars for the Great Crusade, and is more closely associated with the Mark II power armor. This is post Unification wars however so I'm not quite sure what they used before this. This is from http://warhammer40k....under_Warriors:

"The Thunder Warriors were armed with an archaic, but large and powerful pattern of the standard Astartes Bolter."

I will most likely be using these models for the Base with added modifications as necessary:

It's kind of a tough one to do thunder warriors because there is so little on them, for the bolter you could try scrap building one, it works if you have the right components. An example would be when I scrap built a combi flamer based on the one seen on the cover of Firedrake. Although, for a bolter issue like that you may need to use pieces outside of 40k.
Purge the heresy with the Emperor's fire of retribution. Destroy the mutant against the anvil of his wrath. Exterminate the xenos with the courage of humanity.

Damn I just found out that those models look just like the Astartes Custodes, the Imperial Palace Guard whom culled the Thunder Warriors:

good for them lol well in fairness based on the books the custodes were the more powerful i suppose but thunder warriors from what i understand did not last long individually i think they only lived a human cycle
