The growing commonplace situation that that article presents is a genuine concern. Not just about gaming, but everything. The more we rely on digital means the more tenuous the state if things becomes despite the ease of it. Case in point, the Navy is going very digital. And just as the steam account is subject to your access the Navy's ability to do anything with/for you is dependent on your status in the system. If you get a bad rap... sucks to be you.

US law is to protect the money grabbing businesses instead of the consumer lol. The games you buy from market place are much the same after I moved and was waiting for my new internet the arcade games I bought from the market place became demos until I got back online. I didn't have any trouble with the actual games I bought though.
