The Sergeant, a middle aged man in his thirties named Sig Heidriech , gave a quick nod to Sheila." I'll rally the boys and then we can head out." Pumping his shotgun, he went to gather the rest of his squad.

The Colonel motioned for Shiela and Emily to come closer, waving them over.

[Armoured Priest]

Though they were both wearing thier gasmasks, they knew they were giving each other a raised look of surprised. They quickly went to the colonel as he requested.

He brought them closer, having them huddle in a circle. " Remember to be careful out there. We're in unknown and hostile territory. We don't know how they got the ball on us. Have your radioman report in every hour. If you see anything out of the ordinary contact us immediately. " He warned both of them, his concern noteworthy.

"Jawohl Colonel, we will stay in contact during our reconissance." Shelia told him with a crisp nod. "Just let me burn something and I will be gut." Mumbled Emily before receiving a scornful side glare from Shelia. Emily quieted down.

"Now's not the time to mess around Richtofen." The colonel scolded her before giving them both a crisp salute." The Emperor protects, Try to come back in one piece."

"The Emperor protects." They returned with a salute before they went to find the squad they had picked out to go along with them. "You really need to learn when to make your remarks schwester." Shelia said to Emily as they walked. "It slipped!" she said innocently as she shook here head. They went to find Sig Heidriech and his men.

Sig Heidriech was in the middle of grabbing a small canister with extra rounds for his shotgun, along with other supplies. His squad followed his example, each grabbing what suited their specialty. Sig raised his head to see the two Kriegsman approaching." I assume it's time to go?" He asked , the sarcasm in his voice muffled by the gasmask.

"Nien, haven't you heard." Emily started before Shelia could stop her. "The war is over, we won. And we are going to have a parade in the Emperor's honour. I get to drive the float, and YOU ARE IN CHARGE OF THE CONFETTI!" She annouced in a fake cheery voice. Shelia just smacked the back of Emily's helmet. "Don't ever get in a sarcasm fight with her." Shelia sighed. "Where is the vox operator?" she asked him, taking the Authority role for now.

"Pah, Got a mouth on you, that you do." Sig waved his hand, as if to ward off the sarcasm. Sig nodded his heads behind him, the Vox Operator, a man by the name of Charles, completing some last minute fix ups on the Vox. " We're about ready to go, we've got enough supplies for four days."

Shelia nodded in acknowledgement to the assesment. "Charles, after we set off, you have the responsibility of sending a report back to command every hour, on the hour." she told him. "Understood?" she asked. Emily stood there, growing bored now.

" Yes mam." Charles acknowledges with a curt nod before rising to his feet, hefting the vox machine over his back. Sig comes to a stand as well" If you two are going to need anything else, now is the time to do it."

"I believe all is in order." Shelia said, looking over the squad's gear and her gear. "Let us head out now." She said, turning about to the direction the colonel pointed out for them to go scout. "About time." Emily said under her breath.

"Alright boys, let's move out!" He shouted to the rest of the squad. With that the group were off. Leaving the rest of the regiment to the defense and fortification of the drop site.

And so they traveled, coming to a stop after a long exhausting twelve hours.

"I don't get it." Sig started a conversation after lighting a small camp fire. "How could they have snuck upon us so easily?" He asked them, not expecting an answer. It was a question that had plagued many of the squd for the last few hours.

Shelia shrugs. "It is why we been sent, to see how they could pull such a feat." she said as she cleaned her combat knife with a whet stone from one of her pouches. "And if the grace of the Emperor is with us, we will find the reason, and take care of it." she added with a long scrap on her blade. Emily sat with them, pretty close to the fire. She poked it every now and then with a long stick she found, seeming more interested in the flame than in the conversation.

" And for the last twelve hours we've haven't found a single scrap of evidence as to how they could have managed it." Sig sighedm removing his gasmask for a moment to light a Lho-Stick, it was quite ironic.

"Yes sir..." Charles voice suddenly rang up, everyone looking over to see him on the Vox," I understand sir. She's right here sir." He spoke into the machine before calling out." Sheila, The Colonel has important news for you."

She slid the combat knife into it's sheath and put away the whet stone into it's pouch. "Important news or bad news?" she asked to herself as she stood up and went over to charles and his vox unit.

Emily looked over to Sig and his Lho-Stick. "Really?" She said as she took of her gasmask, showing a red tattoo of a drake on her pale skinned face and blood red hair. She reached into one of her pants pockets and pulled out a flat silver case with an aquila stamped onto it. Popping it open, Emily pulls out a large cigar and lights it with a black lighter with the Death Korps of Krieg emblem embolzened on it with gold metallic. She looked back to him with her green eyes. "I can share." she said to him waving the case.

Sig gave her an earnest grin, taking one cigar , tossing away the Lho-stick. He brought the cigar to his lips, lighting with his own red lighter.

Charles held up the vox caster for her to take, his face devoid of any comforting expression that may have hinted to good news.

[Armoured Priest]

"See, is that not better than that piece of paper?" she said motioning toward the discarded lho-stick. She lined back onto a rock as she exhales smoke rings.

Shelia sighs, seeing the vox operator's face as she took up the caster into her hand. "Grenadier Kroenon reporting sir, go ahead over." she spoke into the unit and waited for a reply.

"How'd you even manage to get these? With the pay that we get?" Sig laughed whole heartedly, taking a long drag from his cigar.

"Strange things are happening down at the Site Kroenon. The bodies of those cultist our boys killed are gone. Not a single trace of the remains save for the few pieces of meat and puddles of blood. Not to mention there's no trails or signs of them being dragged away.Over." The Colonel delivered the new, straight foreward as always.

"Affirmative Colonel,....have the psykers say anything useful? Over." she asked, trying to find anything out about how any of this is happening.

"The pay may not be something to brag about, but the perks are great." She shrugged as she tooked another drag. "And being one of the two people to save the Colonel's bacon does not hurt either." she added as she looked up in the sky with a smirk.
