And this thread isn't just for finished work. Here's my very early work in progress shots of my Harlequin Shadowseer. I've always loved he Harlies, but been too scared of painting them for a long time. This is my learning attempt, and I think he's going to be very cool once he's finished.

guys how do i make detail stand out more without using a brighter colour

I have no idea I always tend to use a very very very fine highlight of a slightly lighter colour when I want something to stand out, and if it is too bright then I usually apply a wash of some sort.
EDIT: failing that I try and water down a slightly brighter colour and work it into recesses and things.

I'd probably avoid my advice though, I'm not a very good painter

I'm sorry dood, trying to get quality pictures is difficult, and Borderlands 2 and Black Rock Shooter won't let me. I pulled an all nighter doing an anime marathon for over 8 hours

I have finished my Imperial fists chaplain.
I used one of my really old plastic terminators as the base, then a lot of green stuff of course.
The picture isn´t really doing the mini justice, but it´s better than no picture at all.
