Loosing sleep

its 3:5 AM here, and I'm sitting awake till I have to leave for college. its been like this for the past 3 weeks now and I have slept roughly 6 hours. I lie in my bed, doing nothing, but still the sand man doesn't seem to come. for the past 3 weeks, the only sleep I do seem to get is a brief period on Tuesdays, my only day off. I've tried everything short of physicality knocking myself out. and I mean EVERYTHING. I've tried pills, warm milk, counting, counting down backwards. you name it I have probably done it. so why can't I sleep? I mean I used to go to bed at midnight or not long after and not wake up till about half 2 in the afternoon. now sleeps sweet embrace seems nothing but a memory. the worst part is, whenever I do seem to get a moment of rest, it is cut short by something going on in my house, be it having to look after my disabled twin brother, sudden call to come into work, or even a phone call of my annoying cousin asking me to come on 'gears' again, so he can complain about why I don't play WoW or SWTOR, or just the fact that I CAN NOT SLEEP!
So I am asking, NAY, begging you, my fellow warhammer fans, friend and foe alike, to help me get past the problem. I mean I am loosing sleep over it, Literary! (bad pun most definitely intended!)

maybe the combination of all the stuff your trying is making you not sleep, have you tried since to just naturally fall asleep? this might sound weird but when my dad had the same problem, he would walk the neighborhood for a little bit to clear his mind and come back and also he slept outside sometimes, idk if that would work for you but just throwing ideas out there.
I have not actually tried this. the natural sleep thing, yes, the walk around outside bit, no.
I'll attempt that tomorrow, as there is no point now, I get up in an hour.
thanks for the help, I'll keep you updated. (and by updated I mean, if i post here this time tomorrow it hasn't worked. )
EDIT: also ZERO no I have not. my dad (the army doctor) claims there is nothing wrong with me, but I do feel I should go see an ACTUAL doctor.

Well if you've been having trouble sleeping for nearly a month then there is definitely something off. Even if its just stress or something you still want to get it taken care of. I'd recommend seeing a doctor/psychiatrist, one of them should be able to figure out why your not sleeping and possibly prescribe you something to help with it.

I would find a professional to consult I you really on sleep less than 4 hrs per night for more that three weeks. For me it is always stress. Stress will fuck you up and you might need to get some shit off your chest or sort some things out in your head.
Peace be with you, Priest.

Go see a sleep disorder psychiatrist. A normal one isn't what you need, see the ones specialised in your problem.

I actually feel slightly worse now that my body decide to register that I'm tired, but at least I can tell the difference between today and yesterday!
Again though guys, thanks for the support. I know a few guys from the blood angel forums read this with out posting (mentioned stuff on XBL) so hopefully by the time the white scars match rolls aroung I'll be fighting fit with plenty of Irn-Bru!...... sorry I meant "Combat Stimulants"
