I have not painted a model in over 12 years. I was never any good at it 12 years ago. SOlid colors and everything had a base black color so i didnt have to paint armor. I do have to say the new paint line makes it A LOT easier

For a basic paint job from a guy who thinks he has no idea what he is doing that is smooth. Not fancy but not what I was expecting based on your pessimism. Just get some dirt and flock on the base and you are more than table top ready. I find a nice base is very easy to do and adds a lot to the model.
