IMPORTANT NOTICE

This installation method is incompatible (for multiplayer games) with the old version. Therefore everyone must now use this method to upgrade and install this mod.

Download it, set the installer to point at the Soulstorm Directory (if the default location is not correct) and let it run. It also has an uninstaller as well.

You need to Uninstall/delete the Tyranid Mod before installing Project Dumbass over previous versions of the mods. It seems there is a file which is obsolete for the new version, but loads anyway and screws things up.

Hey guys,

Spider and myself have found ourselves helping A LOT of people to install the Apocalypse mod for Soulstorm correctly, even with my video guide.

This is because it's a tricky process for those unfamiliar with mods and zip folders, and there's a lot to do. Therefore I have conceived a little project that I have entitled "Project Dumbass" for my own amusement.

What I will do, is spoof install all the files to a dummy Soulstorm folder so they are all correctly laid out, and then package them into a .msi (microsoft installer file). This won't help people on OSX, but that's their own dumb fault for buying an Apple

With this, you'll have 1 installer to download, which will walk you through pointing at the Soulstorm Directory, then do it all for you with one click.

IT'S ALIVE!!!

My installer works, as does the Uninstaller - for future updates.

You can even install it over the existing files, hit yes for overwrite, and off it goes. Moving onto test phase, if it works, I'll be uploading it tomorrow morning (NZ).

my anti-v wont allow me to extract. what is it picking up?

It's not an extractor, it's an installer. Some Anti-Viruses don't like non-signed executables, since I am not a company, I didn't sign it
