Truth be told I've never really followed C&C very closely, and the extent of my play time was in C&C3 and its expansion. However, I took a very immediate liking to the GDI. The look, feel, and sheer power behind them appeals to my style of fighting in any game.
I dug that out of my favorites when Dern told me about Tiberium Alliance, and though I don't really want to play it I thought other GDI fans might enjoy the music.

Fair enough mate. I usually play Nod because I enjoy stealth tactics, but the massed Armour of GDI really warms that lump of coal that is my heard

Oh yeah...For me nothing in C&C3 beat swarming an enemy with massed Mammoth Tanks, followed by an infantry line of Riflemen and Rocket Troopers moving up behind in APCs.
Massed, overwhelming force.

Don't forget the "Danger Close" strike with the Ion Cannon right into your defending units

I only ever played C&C 3 as well, and Kanes Wrath. I loved Scrin in that world domination thing in Kanes Wrath just because their air units were so powerful, I just ran around with armies of 5 of each airship and slaughtered everything
I really enjoy the missions with Nod and all the stealth things involved, hell just talking about it wants to make me start playing it again.
