Ok I have research Eye of Kane (AA Base Defence for alerted bases) It is at the moment level 10 and in Tiberian Sun.
Does anyone else have a AA Alliance Defence?

Well Nod's AA cost me like 600 Money and 500 Research or the other way round but whatever =P The Blade of Kane (AI) costs lots though =(

Seems we specificaly need to start claiming those resource centers so we can actually start getting the stuff to research the crap we need :/

Research comes in exponentially with level, a 15 base is 90k. There are no buildings which grant easy resource, it can only come from combat

Im refering to using resource from those buildings to create the buildings that gives us resource that can be used to create buildings to give us better units which can be used to create and upgrade units which can be used to get research points in combat...

Makes sense?

Nope

Research can ONLY be gained through combat, players give less than camps, which give less than outposts, which give less than bases. Forgotten Bases are only in the west hence us moving there.

eg

Players < Camps < Outposts < (AI) Bases

Big alliances attach themselves to the edges of the Base area so they can become stronger and everyone else weaker. We need to break through and set ourselves up on an edge somewhere

Basicaly what you said but earning more resources like Tiberium and Crystals from those bonus buildings on the map for upgrading bases faster as well as units which will make us excel in bigger combats.

I read resource as research, my bad mate. I was writing about that THQ article at the time and was distracted.
