ok I started a Eldar Aspect Warrior army with some seer auxillery, in the paints and home lore after Biel-Tan. im just curious if there is any Eldar players out there that can give advice on how to effictively play my army. All I have right now is a Autarch (Power Sword, Banshee Helmet, Swooping Hawk Wings) Guardians (10, Platform is available for all weapons as I did not glue one in place) Dire Avengers (9, 1 Exarch, Dual Shurikens, Bladestorm) So if you can give me any advice that would be appreciated. Im also planning on making Baneshees pn being the fist of my army. (also for the future. How does a Devastator and Tactical marine defense SM build sound? Yes you guessed it, Imperial Fists =))

Banshees are wonderfully devastating. The biggest question to ask is how do you want your army to flesh out? Because there are many ways to go about it.

Biel Tan are incredibly squishy, you need to get the right units into the right place asap. Use Wave Serpents and Falcons a lot. This army list is deadly (I played it) but you MUST get the right tool for the task at hand into place. Your units are not jack of all trades, they are highly specialized, know your strengths and weaknesses intimately

Yeah I figured that Eldar would be a slightly difficult starting army to play, but Eld are my fav race and I'm sure I'll learn on the job. Wave Serpents and Falcons, I already had some of them listed, but I will add more and my army is mostly suppose to be around Aspect Warriors with Seers and Walkers on the side.

Aspect Warriors I like the most in an army are Howling Banshees, Fire Dragons, and Dark Reapers.

Put Banshees in transports, have AT LEAST two 5 man squads of Dark Reapers they devastate marines (also look in codex at Dark Reapers and look at the Exarchs weapon thats a blast, read it, add fast shot, watch entire 10 man squads die from him alone in one shooting phase :D) other than that I havent got much advice, I played against and with Eldar plenty of times and learned that Dark Reapers are the best thing you got, (Also Wraithlords and Wraithguard are pretty badass, bring a lot of Warlocks with them)

Remember to play your Psychic powers to their potential, fortune and guide can make for a very nasty experience for the opposing player.

So basically there is alot of ways I can go with Eldar. The one with Banes in the Serpents, advancing with Reaper cover fire seems pretty bad ass to me. I will also add a Farseer with 3 Warlocks. I was thinking of Doom and Mind War mainly, but Fortue and Guide seem like a great support choice, which is what they're likely going to do. I was planning on having 2 Dire Avengers Units (possibly 3), with 2 Banes>Wave Serpents Fire Dragons>Falcon Farseer Warlocks, War Spiders, Guardians with Spiritseer supporting a Wraithlord, with two Dark Reapers. Im no sure how many points that is, cause I dont have my Codex. What about the Jain-Zar and Striking Scorpions? I was thinking of adding them to my army as well (Note this army will evently be in Apoc games) btw thanks for the advice so far guys =)

Jain=Zar is pretty wicked. I rate her 2nd in my Phoenix Lords, Maugan Ra takes the first though. Striking Scorpions are good, but I've found them much more situational, because they aren't quite the combat force up close that the banshees are, but they are a bit hardier and can infiltrate.

With my Farseer I like to have Eldritch Storm because it gives him a nice utilitarian power since it can blast troops, and can deal with vehicles.

If you're planning to go Apocalypse definitely get Wave Serpents for the Aspect Assault Wave.

If your doing apocalypse then take ALL the Phoenix Lords and the Avatar. The Phoenix Court of Kaine is totaly bad ass, you slaughter titans each turn with it!

May want to look at some of the forgeworld tanks. The Scorpian and Super Heavy Scorpian are capable of doing some insane damage

Also an old friend of mine used to play with the Eldar Nightwing in his normal games, (the flyer with troop transport capacity). It's incredibly hard to kill, can do some good damage and can deliver units anywhere on the board fast. It's cheap enough (points) to be in 2000 point games instead of a fire prism
