I've not focused on building a competitive force; for me the painting is the enjoyable aspect.
I'll keep you posted with how it goes and apologies for the poor quality photos.
I've finished one marine, currently. It's my first ever 40k model and I'm still getting used to all the little details. Pretty pleased with the result though.
Once all these bad boys are painted up I plan on fielding a competitive army with Belial and sammael at the helm of deathwing and ravenwing.

The camera flash shows the highlights to be very rough. In daylight they blend better than that. Not too bad for a first though.

my simple advice - bike sammael not landspeeder sammael (landspeeder ends up being crap)
Really? I thought the stats looked far more impressive with the land speeder.
Also, I'll sort the eyes. Good spot, thanks.

land speeder doesent benefit from his invunerable save - whereas bike has a plasma cannon and does
Ah, makes a lot of sense.
Here's a little bit of my Rhino:
First set of layers done. Simple base layer and silver (with rust) drybrush on the inside.
I've actually completed one side of the thing (minus battle damage) but I'm waiting to borrow my room-mates camera so I can get a proper snap of it.
