Greetings!

I have decided to set up an RP based competition. I've given it a lot of thought and overall I think it will be something to help get the section kicked into gear and grab the activeness of more people to jump in and have fun!

How will this competition work? Well, it will be somewhat like a creative writing contest where you will be given a task, respond to it, and be voted on by your peers once the short RP is completed.

The Breakdown~

1 : You will submit your application for the competition via a Character Profile to me via PM titled "Competition."

2 : I will create a thread specifically for you in the RP section. Here it will be given a name as well as your character name in the title.

3 : I will create an opening post - This post will detail the random environment, situation, conditions, etc.

4 : You will then post - tying everything together with your character, the scenario, and trying to address it.

5 : You have 5 posts total to make, as will I. This means that you must be descriptive. Write a story - be detailed and fluent.

6 : Once you have made your final post, I will close the thread with the final product and how it turned out. A final closing.

7 : The thread information will be prepped. Once all contestants have finished their threads, a Poll will be created with Links to the respective threads. Here people can read, review, and vote on their favorite one.

8 : Once a winner has been chosen we will choose 1 to 3 winners (if we have enough people.) These winners will receive prizes offered by the contest leader : AKA Me. Prizes will be revealed at the beginning of the competition. This comes at no cost to the community.

• Upon Character submission, you will define what Universe setting you would like. It must be vague unless it is a widely known setting - So naming some off the wall Universe that two people on the planet have heard of is going to be turned down and I will ask you to consider a new one. In other words : It does not have to be a 40k setting. You can use a generalization such as " I would like this set during WWII" or "A futuristic Space-Ship Battle scenario."

The magic is that you get to somewhat choose your test. I just give you the dough to play with.

Summary~

I'm hoping that this will help spur some interest in the RP section of the community so we can see more creativeness and excitement from our very talented community members. I will be using this thread as a scope to see as to who might enjoy this venture and be interested before I make it official.

:) Please don't ask about the prizes. They could be as small as packs of Gum, or as large as a new 40k Desktop set. Who knows?

What sort of characters are we talking about? Are they supposed to come from a particular setting or universe? (40k, WH Fantasy) Do they need to fit into a specific genre? (Sci Fi, Fantasy) Do they have to be from the typically accepted player character races?

A very good question that I was hoping someone would ask.

^ This will be copied into the initial post.
