Hey is there a program that can extract my keys from steam and put them into soulstorm for me instead of having to go through my registry ?

Go to your Steam library, click on the game, and off to the right there will be a link that says "CD Key".
Easy peasy.

and do you know what type it is in the registry to add the key?

If you install the game, it should ask you for the CD key during installation. You shouldn't need to enter it into the registry manually.
