As you will have noticed email notification was enabled for PMs but not for threads.
As I have now upgraded the bandwidth plan for this web server we can afford to let it go full tilt.
As of now you may subscribe to any forum or thread and recieve email notification of new threads or posts repectively.
My apologies it took so long, money is money and all!

It's not much more expensive, but was a rather large hassle convincing them to let me upgrade my plan. They had to provide me a lot more stuff for only $2 a month more
