This is the story I'm going to submit to Black Library, please post any suggestions, thank you. TM (If you turn this in as your own, you will have your guts pulled out of your mouth

Here it goes

Yurkan moved forward as silent as his armor would allow him. Rain was pouring from the skies and it splattered on the surrounding trees. The other members of squad Gruar advance around him, their Corvus Pattern helmets made a striking appearance and their pitch black armor matched the darkness in the trees. Typically, a white raven was painted on their right pauldrons and their left would be trimmed in green, but now they were in full black for the purposes of stealth.
They moved silently remembering well the stealth techniques they had learned when they were initiates. Their Deliverance Pattern Bolters were fixed with silencers. They had them up and scanning for any potential targets.

The Raven Guard advanced through the darkness

They continued through the forest for another hour, they advanced slowly and purposefully for another couple hours, unwilling to reveal their position to any enemy patrols that could pass, even so far out.
Ahead the forest began to break on a ridge and the lights of an outpost could be seen below the ridge, at the edge a team of ten Tau Fire Warriors patrolled at the tree line scanning the forest. One had some sort of scanner in its hand. They all stopped dead and moved to cover quickly, but silently and the Raven Guard's coolant kept their armor undetectable by thermal and their paint matched in with the darkness. They waited in cover until the patrol passed and then stayed where they were for a while longer to be sure that the patrol didn't double back. When the coast was clear the Raven Guard stirred up and moved forward to the edge of the forest overlooking the Tau outpost, it was located right on an old Imperial garrison center and ridge went around like the walls of a bowl. The buildings were occupied and the Tau had set up sensor equipment on the perimeter of the outpost, but most looked incomplete in their preparation the Tau had barely been here for a few days, but they had to strike before they could dig in. Some gunships were landed at the northern end of the base, that was their target. The gunships had been harassing the Imperial Forces for weeks and when the Raven Guard arrived they were asked to cripple enemy. A series of fast strikes coupled with stealth. Right down the Raven Guard's alley.
There were two, ten men teams patrolling the perimeter of the outpost, they were focused on the perimeter and the forest however and their scrutiny made patrols roved inside the compound of structures. Yurkan waited for Sergeant Vral to give the signal, they had to move fast in order to avoid being detected as their prints would be left in the ground from their armored boots. Finally Vral gave the signal; they didn't want to be compromise so they didn't sue the vox. Soon they were all in faction moving up as fast and silent as they could go. They reached an open space between two of the buildings, Yurkan took cover in the shadows, his bolter pointed into the compound, ready for contact, in case any of the patrols made an unscheduled sweep.
Once they were all together, Sergeant Vral signaled for them to continue forwards towards the gunship site, avoiding the patrols by taking cover in the deep shadows or in the buildings. They checked the alleys on their flank left and right flanks, for any unexpected patrols. They continued on silently but with speed.
Brother Zeruik was on point when a lone Tau warrior came out of building in front of him, helmet-less. They all went still, not moving in the slightest, save for Zeruik who was unsheathing his combat blade silently. The Tau warrior was about to turn down another alley, but spotted the Raven Guard out of the corner of his eye. He was about to raise an alarm but his cries were never released as Zeruik threw his blade and it sunk into the Tau's forehead with a wet impact. The warrior fell over onto the ground and the Raven Guard were in motion, Zeruik hid the body in a empty warehouse as the rest of the squad secured the alleys to be sure that there hadn't been any witnesses.
When the body was hid and the alarm was not raised they were confident that the killing went unnoticed.
They were about halfway to the Gunship site, Sergeant Vral pointed to four of Yurkan's brothers and signaled: Hold. They nodded their understanding and the rest of the squad continued on into the outpost.
It was barely a minute before the reached the Gunship site. There were three gunships of various design arrayed in a row, each was coupled to a Tau recharge generator. A re-armament team worked on a Skyray gunship, rearming it's depleted missile pods, while a patrol went through the center of the site. They were running out of time and obviously sergeant Vral thought so as well for his next set of instructions were: Eliminate. Hostiles. Targets kill the Tau and plant remote det-charges on the gunships and their armament facilities. They moved out of the shadows and open fire with their silenced bolters, they had been armed with solid core ammo instead of explosive bolts as to remain undetected. They shot at exposed vital areas, eye lenses and necks. They took down the patrol first then turned their fire upon the armament team. The whole “fight” had lasted less then fifteen seconds, the
Tau now lying on the wet ground, blood pooling from their fatal wounds, the few that lay hurt, but still alive were quickly dispatched by the slice of a combat blade. Then they set to work, placing charges on the gunships and the recharge generators, Yurkan placed a charge in the warehouse where the ammunition was supplied, only one was enough due to the amount of ordnance.
Once they were done they hid the bodies in the munitions warehouse and then proceeded back the way they came to re-hook up with the rest of the squad.
When they reached the position, his fellow astartes were hidden well in the dark, but one of his brothers signaled Vral to look at the ridge they had had come from. A Tau patrol was closing in on the way they had come and the Tau's scrutiny would find their prints and detonating their det-charges would bring the patrol racing in on them and wouldn't help them any.
Sergeant Vral made a plan to move off to the east and try exiting that way, they moved into action moving down an alley to the left, before they even reached the other end an alarm went off. The gunship site had failed to respond to the radio check. The Raven Guard stopped and went into cover. Tau began shouting over the voice magnifiers, their language incomprehensible to Yurkan. They heard the splashing of boots in the mud, soon the Tau patrol that was on the ridge past by, but only six passed. They must have left a guard emplacement on the ridge to overlook the exits out of the compound. They were about to move when a five man Fire Warrior team came sprinting down the alley, they all stayed in cover and quickly unsheathed their combat blades just in case. The precaution was well awarded as one of the Fire Warriors spotted one of the Raven Guard. They sprung forward and quickly killed the patrol before they could react. More Tau orders were conveyed over the voice magnifiers, they were out of time they had to extract.
They came out of the alley and sprinted out of the compound. Sure enough there were four Fire Warriors on the ridge. The Raven Guard engaged, but the Fire Warriors were able to return fire, wounding one of Yurkan's brothers, before they were eliminated. The Raven Guard just held his wounds and the squad sprinted for the ridge line. When they got there, the whole outpost was waking up and their fire fight was attracting attention.

It was time.

They detonated the charges and the gunship site went up in an explosion that lit up the night. The Fire Warriors believing themselves to being attacked from all sides stopped their search and took up defensible positions. The Raven Guard looked on until the slightest sound of approaching gunships could be heard over the rain. It was time to leave. As silent as they had arrived, the departed, sinking back into the night like shadows.

Scream your rage unto the stars, and by the gods, leave none alive!

Well done, I suggest re-reading as you have a few parts that you mention then re mention the same thing. It just appeared redundant, like I said well done and good luck.
